Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions and privacy; refers to provider when needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Ensures regulatory, policy and process compliance; assists in opening/closing and shift changes.
• Uses Good Faith Dispensing principles with controlled substances and supports pharmacy systems to boost productivity.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems (Intercom Plus, StoreNET) and improves processes.
• Follows up on insurance claims and coordinates with providers to resolve issues.
