Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and refills, and refers to a medical provider when needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operations comply with regulations and policies; supports efficient workflow and shift changes.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems and proposes enhancements to improve productivity.
• Keeps insurance claim processing accurate and follows up with insurers and providers to prevent rejections.
• Immunizations, flu shots, diabetes awareness and other preventive health services.
