Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy professional to provide comprehensive medication counseling, perform compounding and drug therapy reviews, and ensure accurate dispensing within regulatory guidelines. The role supports pharmacy operations, inventory management, and patient care services.

You will collaborate with providers, participate in preventive health services like immunizations, and help optimize the customer experience while maintaining compliance with company policies and quality

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree prior to start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within the district within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and insurance considerations.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management as workload requires.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, policies, and adequate workflow; assists in opening/closing and shift changes.
• Maintains pharmacy systems knowledge and supports pharmacy staff; proposes system enhancements.
• Assists with insurance claim processing, third-party audits, and coordinating with providers for prescriptions.
