Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support customer service, process prescriptions, and handle third party functions while building essential pharmacy skills. You will assist with inventory, pricing, and dispensing under supervision.

The role emphasizes professional conduct, confidentiality, communication, and empathy as we train for clinical services and MTM support within our pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
• Pharmacy Intern License (state specific).
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Neat and legible penmanship; organized and dependable.
• Team-oriented mindset with emphasis on patient confidentiality.
• Knowledge of Third Party Help; prescription split billing.
• Understanding of MTM platforms and immunizations after proper training.

Responsibilities

• Customer service and assisting patients in person and by phone.
• Process and fill prescriptions; provide third party functions.
• Manage inventory; update balance on hand and place orders.
• Use pharmacy computer system for data entry and adjudication.
• Interact with patients regarding medication pricing; support services.
• Assist with health screening tests and immunizations after training.
• Perform various duties as assigned by the pharmacist.
