Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support customer service, process and fill prescriptions, and handle third party functions under supervision in a busy community pharmacy. You will assist with inventory management, balance on hand, vendor orders, and clinical services while developing your knowledge of MTMs and immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Customer service.
• Communicating with patients in person and via telephone; assisting patients with product selection; obtaining medication prices.
• Processing and filling prescriptions.
• Using pharmacy computer system for prescription data entry & third party adjudication; pulling correct products from the shelf; labeling prescriptions.
• Third-party functions.
• Inventory management.
• Updating balance on hand; product ordering; processing vendor charges/backs.
• Clinical services.
