Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support customer service, prescription processing, and clinical services in our pharmacy department. You will work under a pharmacist to gain hands-on experience with MTM and third-party functions.

Qualifications include enrollment in an accredited pharmacy program and a state-approved intern license, along with strong communication, organization, and confidentiality skills essential to patient care.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
• Pharmacy Intern License (state specific).
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Neat and legible penmanship; organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Customer service.
• Communicating with patients in person and via telephone; assist with product selection; obtain medication prices.
• Processing and filling prescriptions.
• Using pharmacy computer system for prescription data entry & third party adjudication; pulling products; counting and labeling at fill station; selling prescriptions at Will Call station.
• Third-party functions.
• Inventory management.
• Updating balance on hand; product ordering; Meijer codes; receiving and putting away orders; processing vendor charge backs.
• Clinical services.
