Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world practice within our retail pharmacy teams. You will work under a licensed pharmacist, following SOPs to ensure safe, accurate prescription processing and caring service for patients.

The role emphasizes hands-on training, cross-store collaboration, and exposure to district and regional operations, with opportunities to develop toward Pharmacist responsibilities. This is a part-time, in-store program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong mathematical reasoning for dosages and counts.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
• Operate under supervision to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide empathetic customer service and care during interactions with patients and colleagues.
• Support immunizations and other pharmacy services where allowed by law and training.
• Travel to stores in the market as needed to meet business needs.
