Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support unit-dose drug distribution and IV admixture programs under direct supervision of a pharmacist. You will enter and retrieve data, prepare IV medications, fill routine orders, label meds, and assist pharmacists with daily duties while maintaining accuracy and safety.

Qualified candidates are enrolled in a School of Pharmacy or are foreign graduates applying for an intern license within PA within 120 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in School of Pharmacy or foreign graduate pursuing intern license in PA within 120 days.
• Strong attention to accuracy and confidentiality.
• Willingness to work under supervision in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in filling unit-dose carts and prepackaged meds.
• Prepare, label, and assist with IV admixtures including antibiotics and chemotherapy.
• Maintain inventory and help with inventory inspections.
• Support compliance with HIPAA and safety procedures.
