Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking a post-graduate pharmacist trainee to engage in supervised pharmacy activities, ensure proper dispensing, and support the pharmacy team to deliver high-quality care.

You will provide medication counseling, immunizations, review drug interactions, and assist with inventory management while adhering to regulatory guidelines and company policies to optimize the customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States.
• FPGEC (Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate).
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy, if required (state-dependent).
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 45 days of intern hours completion.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions, and dispenses under supervision to ensure correct therapy.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets and dispenses prescribed medications within regulations and company policies.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems and proposes enhancements to support staff and customers.
• Supports inventory management, KPI reviews, and collaboration with healthcare providers and community outreach.
