Job summary

CVS Health in the United States is offering a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern opportunity within our retail pharmacy team. You will apply didactic learning to real-world practice under a licensed pharmacist, supporting daily operations, patient care, and immunization services where allowed.

The role emphasizes SOP compliance, accuracy, empathy, and teamwork, with hands-on training across store, district, and regional operations, preparing you for a Pharmacist role while delivering care that meets CVS

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess or be pursuing valid intern/technician licensure per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and assist Pharmacists and Technicians to ensure safe, accurate prescriptions.
• Deliver empathetic, patient-centric service at pickup, drive-thru, and phone.
• Counsel patients when appropriate under supervision and assist with immunizations as allowed.
• Handle telephonic prescriptions and clarifications with prescribers when permitted by state law.
• Support inventory activities, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks and stock organization.
• Contribute to a high-performing team and participate in ongoing training and coaching.
• Demonstrate flexibility for scheduling and travel as needed within the market.
