Job summary

CVS Health is offering a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern position within our Retail locations. You will support pharmacy teams, complete a comprehensive training roadmap, and develop skills for increasing responsibility under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, adherence to SOPs, and opportunities to participate in immunizations and other on-site health services as allowed by law.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, intern and/or technician licensure as required
• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to become immunization certified when state regulations are met
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap with focus on KLEs and increasing responsibilities
• Follow SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures to ensure safe prescription fulfillment
• Counsel patients, answer medical questions, and gather information to provide optimal care
• Assist with immunizations and point-of-care testing where allowed by law
• Travel to stores in the market to cover shifts as needed by the business
