Job summary

CVS Health is offering a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern role within our Retail pharmacy teams. You will apply classroom learning to real-world practice under a preceptor, participating in a structured training roadmap and gaining exposure to store, district, and regional operations.

As a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern, you will help ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, assist with immunizations and patient counseling, and learn Standard Operating Procedures to support pharmacists and

Qualifications

• Accepted into ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to support pharmacists and technicians in patient care.
• Process prescriptions accurately and safely at the pharmacy workstation.
• Counsel patients and answer medical questions under supervision.
• Assist with immunizations and point-of-care testing where allowed.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescribers when needed.
• Complete basic inventory activities and cycle counts.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team as needed.
• Travel to stores in the market as needed.
