Job summary

CVS Health in Texas is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply pharmacotherapy knowledge in a real-world setting, supporting pharmacy teams and learning under a preceptor. You will follow a comprehensive training roadmap and rotate through store, district, and regional operations to gain hands-on experience while ensuring safe, accurate dispensing and patient‑focused service.

As you progress, you may help immunizations and other clinical services where allowed, collaborate with pharmacists,

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Attention and Focus: concentrate on a task, pivot between tasks, and ensure prescription labeling accuracy.
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: help people in a friendly manner and respond to patient reactions.
• Communication Skills: clear verbal and written interaction with patients and colleagues.
• Mathematical Reasoning: calculate total tablets, days supply and bottle counts.
• Problem Resolution: handle challenging patient interactions by choosing best action.
• Physical Demands: mobility, lifting, reaching, and fine motor tasks as needed.
• Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager

Education

ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy

Intern/Technician licensure in progress/required
