Job summary

CVS Health in the United States is offering a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern opportunity within our retail stores. You will apply didactic pharmacy school learning to real-world practice, under a preceptor, completing a comprehensive training roadmap to understand store, district, and regional operations while supporting the pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate, and timely dispensing.

The role emphasizes patient care, empathy, and collaboration with pharmacists and technicians.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Willingness to learn and follow SOPs, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled safely, accurately and promptly.
• Demonstrate empathy and customer care during patient interactions.
• Counsel and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Assist with immunizations, point-of-care testing, and in-store clinics where allowed by state law.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with basic store operations.
