Meijer Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to join our pharmacy team, providing customer service, processing and filling prescriptions, and supporting clinical services.

You will interact with patients in person and by phone, assist with product selection and pricing, and help manage inventory under supervision of a pharmacist. Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
• Pharmacy Intern License (state-specific).
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Neat and legible penmanship; organizational skills and prioritization.
• Team-oriented mindset and timeliness & dependability.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Customer service.
• Communicating with patients in person and via telephone; assisting patients with product selection; obtaining medication prices.
• Processing and filling prescriptions.
• Using pharmacy computer system for prescription data entry & third party adjudication; pulling correct products from the shelf; counting and labeling prescriptions.
• Third-party functions.
• Inventory management.
• Updating balance on hand (BOH); product ordering; looking up Meijer codes; checking-in and putting away orders; processing vendor charge backs (VCBs)/transfers/salvage.
• Clinical services.
• This job profile may require other duties as assigned.
