Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world practice within CVS stores. Under a preceptor, you will follow a structured training roadmap, learn SOPs, and gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations while supporting pharmacy operations and delivering compassionate patient care.

You will assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately, while developing hands‑on experience and foundational clinical skills

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation and assist Pharmacists and Technicians with patient health management.
• Support pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Provide empathetic patient service and offer immunizations and other services when appropriate.
• Counsel patients and obtain relevant medical history to provide optimal care under supervision.
• Assist with telephonic prescriptions and communicate with prescribers when needed.
• Support inventory activities and ensure proper medication handling and stocking.
