Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic knowledge in a real-world pharmacy setting within CVS stores. You will work under a licensed pharmacist, following a comprehensive training roadmap that covers SOPs, patient safety, and effective communication.

You’ll support immunizations and core dispensing tasks while preparing for future Pharmacist responsibilities. As part of the team, you’ll gain hands‑on experience across store operations, district and regional insights,

Qualifications

• ACPE accredited college enrollment required or in progress
• Intern/licensure as required by state boards
• Ability to follow SOPs and absorb training

Responsibilities

• Follow all pharmacy SOPs at each workstation to support Pharmacists and Technicians
• Assist with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment across workflows
• Provide empathetic customer service and help patients at pickup, drive‑thru, and phone
• Counsel patients and collect relevant medical history under supervision
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescribers when allowed by state law
• Support inventory activities like stocking, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain a high-performing culture
• Be flexible with scheduling and travel to stores as needed
• Adhere to federal, state, and local laws and CVS policies for patient safety and privacy
• Deliver immunizations and other patient health services when trained and certified
