Job summary

CVS Health in the United States is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world pharmacy practice, under a preceptor. You will support the pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate dispensing and excellent patient service while gaining exposure to store, district, and regional operations.

In this role you will follow SOPs, participate in training roadmaps, and learn to deliver immunizations and other patient health services as allowed by law and supervision.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled safely, accurately and promptly
• Counsel patients when appropriate under supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Support immunization and other clinical services where allowed by state regulations
• Demonstrate empathy and professional communication with patients and teammates
