Job summary

CVS Health in the United States is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply classroom learning to real-world practice. Under the supervision of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap and support the pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate, and timely dispensing while delivering caring service.

You will gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations, learn SOPs, and contribute to immunization services and other patient-care activities as allowed by state law.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled safely, accurately, and promptly.
• Demonstrate empathy and care in interactions with patients and colleagues.
• Learn and apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and use effective communication.
• Support immunizations and other patient health services where allowable by state law.
