Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to translate classroom learning into real-world practice within a CVS Pharmacy. Under a preceptor, you will follow a comprehensive training roadmap to understand store, district, and regional operations while supporting the pharmacy team to fill prescriptions accurately and safely.

You will learn SOPs, provide empathetic service, and gain experience in immunizations, patient counseling, and escalation as needed.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Attention and Focus: concentrate on a task, pivot quickly between tasks, ensure prescription labeling accuracy.
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: help people in a friendly manner and respond to patient needs.
• Communication Skills: interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
• Mathematical Reasoning: calculate prescriptions, days supply, and bottle counts.
• Problem Resolution: handle patient or colleague interactions with appropriate action.
• Physical Demands: lift, stand, and move items as needed.
• Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.

Education

ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy

Valid intern and/or technician licensure
