Job summary

Actalent, Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Technician Intake in Cary, NC to review referrals, verify prescriptions, create patient profiles, and coordinate with providers to ensure accurate processing.

This contract role supports high-volume data entry with strict attention to detail in a call center–style specialty pharmacy environment. The schedule is onsite initially with potential for hybrid work and emphasizes patient access to medications.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification in good standing.
• Active Pharmacy Technician registration with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (NCBOP).
• Prior experience working in a pharmacy environment.
• Strong data entry and computer skills with a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming referrals to ensure information is complete and ready for processing.
• Create and maintain patient and provider records in pharmacy systems.
• Verify prescription information for completeness and accuracy prior to processing.
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and provide status updates.
• Document referral activity and progress notes to support workflow across teams.
