Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance seeks a post-graduate pharmacy graduate to work under supervision toward state board requirements. You will counsel customers on medications, interactions, and preventive care such as immunizations.

You will perform compounding, dispensing review, and medication management while supporting pharmacy workflow and inventory management to enhance customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC) required.
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy, if required.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 45 days of completion of intern hours.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and generics.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Reviews and accurately dispenses prescribed medications and ensures regulatory and policy compliance.
• Supports opening/closing of the pharmacy and shift-change duties, and helps optimize workflow.
• Provides immunizations and preventive healthcare services when appropriate.
