Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommends items for sale to customers and suggests trade-up or related items.
- Registers customer purchases, handles cash, processes returns, refunds, and exchanges, and assists in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records transactions.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, assisting with prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions under supervision.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, processes third-party prescription claims, and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Assists with pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and handling warehouse claims for overages, shortages, or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, performs resets, and assists with product placement and stock rotation.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment, provides photo services, manages web order pickups, and supports store cleanliness and appearance.
- Follows all company policies and maintains respectful coworker relationships.
Training & Personal Development
- Earns and maintains PTCB certification or relevant state certification/registration.
- Attends training sessions, completes required coursework, and keeps up-to-date with healthcare and pharmacy news and developments.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
