Job description

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist, under supervision, in pharmacy practice by using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions, in accordance with regulations.

Customer Experience

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Shares customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits, to deliver a memorable customer experience.

Operations

• Provides courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers.
• Recommends additional items and trade-up or companion products.
• Handles transactions, including voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges; assists customers in locating products.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and maintains records.
• Supports pharmacy duties such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medications, and assisting pharmacists with workflow.
• Reports prescription errors immediately and complies with company policies, including the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
• Handles non-urgent phone calls and processes third-party prescription claims efficiently.
• Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and handling related claims and issues.
• Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
• Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional and seasonal setups.
• Assists with food product placement and stock rotation, following safety and quality standards.
• Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Provides photo area services, including digital passport photos and promotional products.
• Manages web order pickups and ensures timely delivery.
• Supports store cleanliness and appearance, maintains respectful relationships, and completes assigned tasks.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintains PTCB certification and/or other required credentials.
• Participates in training, continuing education, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

• Must be fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
