Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale, including trade-up and/or companion items.
- Registers customer purchases, processes transactions, and handles returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures proper pricing and stocking as directed by management.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, assisting in prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Helps schedule and manage pharmacy workflow.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
- Follows all policies related to Good Faith Dispensing and complies with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Handles non-urgent telephone inquiries, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, storing pharmaceuticals, and filing claims for discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays and assists with resets and revisions.
- Supports food and product placement policies, including stock rotation and restocking.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos, poster prints, and promotional products.
- Handles web order pick-up responsibilities and assists with store cleanliness and appearance.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful coworker relationships, and completes assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification through designated training and/or state registration.
- Attends training sessions, completes continuing education, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
