Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and trade-up or related products to customers.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including processing payments, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of shelves and counters, manages inventory, and ensures pricing accuracy.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, assisting with prescription filling, verifying accuracy, and supporting workflow scheduling.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and adheres to pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Follows all policies related to pharmacy dispensing and customer confidentiality.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls and communicates with physicians as needed.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical tasks as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and manages claims for damages or shortages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains visual displays and completes store resets as directed.
- Assists with food and product placement, stock rotation, and inventory control.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional prints.
- Manages web order pickups and delivery to customers.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful relationships with coworkers, and completes assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and participates in ongoing training and continuing education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
