Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommends items for sale to customers and suggests trade-up or complementary products.
- Registers customer purchases on the assigned cash register, handles cash and change, and processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products within the store.
- Keeps counters and shelves clean and well-organized, manages inventory, and maintains records. Ensures merchandise is correctly priced and labeled as directed by management.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information accurately, assisting with prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Assists pharmacists with workflow and scheduling.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and follows company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians, and processes third-party prescription claims efficiently.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and handling warehouse overages, shortages, and damages.
- Complies with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Creates and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and performs resets as needed.
- Assists with food product organization, stock rotation, and adherence to store policies on product placement.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment, and provides photo services such as passport photos and promotional prints.
- Manages web order pickups and ensures store cleanliness and organization.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful relationships with coworkers, and completes assigned tasks and special projects.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or relevant state registration through ongoing training and continuing education.
- Attends training sessions, completes required credits, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
