Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommends items for sale to customers and suggests trade-up or complementary products.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, and processing refunds, exchanges, and voids. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures proper pricing and merchandising as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, assisting in prescription filling, verifying medications, and checking for interactions under supervision.
- Reports prescription errors immediately and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy practices and error management.
- Follows all policies related to Good Faith Dispensing and pharmacy code of conduct.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities such as ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and manages claims related to warehouse overages, shortages, or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as needed.
- Assists in food product placement and stock rotation, maintaining proper storage and hygiene standards.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos and promotional products.
- Handles web order pick-up responsibilities, including monitoring and delivering orders.
- Supports store cleanliness and maintenance, ensuring a neat and orderly environment.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful relationships with coworkers, and completes additional tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state certification/registration through ongoing training and continuing education.
- Attends training sessions, completes required learning modules, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
