Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale, including trade-up and/or companion items.
- Processes transactions at the cash register, including handling cash, refunds, exchanges, and assisting customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, conducts inventory, and records stock levels.
- Assists pharmacists by entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and complies with company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement.
- Adheres to the Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and handling claims for overages, shortages, or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups.
- Assists with product placement, stock rotation, and store cleanliness.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos and promotional products.
- Manages web order pick-up responsibilities.
- Supports store maintenance and adheres to company policies, fostering respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes assigned tasks and special projects as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Earns and maintains PTCB certification or relevant state certification.
- Attends training sessions, completes continuing education, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional Requirements
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
