Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or related items to customers.
- Operates the cash register, handles transactions, and processes returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in-store.
- Maintains cleanliness and merchandising of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records transactions. Assists with pricing merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations under supervision, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting with workflow scheduling.
- Reports prescription errors immediately and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection procedures and reports discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as tobacco and alcohol.
- Creates and maintains store displays, performs resets, and manages product placement according to policies.
- Assists with food and product organization, stock rotation, and restocking.
- Operates store systems and equipment proficiently.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional products.
- Manages web order pickups and delivers to customers.
- Supports store cleanliness and appearance, maintains respectful relationships with coworkers, and completes assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
