Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and trade-up or complementary products.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including processing payments, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products within the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of shelves and counters, manages inventory, and records transactions as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information accurately, assisting with prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and monitoring for interactions.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and managing claims for discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains in-store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups.
- Assists with food product placement and stock rotation, following store policies.
- Operates store systems and equipment proficiently.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional products.
- Manages web order pickups and delivers orders to customers.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance.
- Follows all company policies and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes additional tasks and special assignments as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, is required.
