- Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
- Assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a delightful experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., proactive help, needs identification, servicing until satisfied).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Processes transactions, handles returns, refunds, and exchanges, and assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures accurate pricing.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, assisting in prescription filling, verifying medications, and checking for interactions.
- Reports prescription errors immediately and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, processes third-party claims, and performs clerical tasks as directed.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
- Ensures compliance with laws concerning regulated products and maintains proper product displays and stock rotation.
- Provides customer service in the photo area and manages web pickup orders.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education.
- Stays informed about healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
