Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and trade-up or related items to customers.
- Handles register transactions, including collecting cash, giving change, processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records transactions. Checks in and prices merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information accurately, assisting in prescription filling, verifying medication correctness, and checking for interactions. Supports pharmacists in scheduling and workflow management.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement programs.
- Follows all policies related to Good Faith Dispensing and complies with pharmacy codes of conduct.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including those to physicians, and processes third-party prescription claims efficiently.
- Assists with inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and manages claims related to warehouse overages, shortages, or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as needed.
- Supports food and product placement policies, including stock rotation and restocking.
- Operates store systems and equipment confidently.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos, poster printing, and promotional products.
- Handles web order pick-up responsibilities, including monitoring, fulfilling, and delivering orders.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, supports exterior and interior upkeep.
- Follows all policies, maintains respectful coworker relationships, and completes assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state registration through ongoing training and continuing education.
- Attends training sessions, completes required courses, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (excluding Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
