Elevance Health is seeking a Pharmacy Customer Associate I in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on responding to basic customer questions via telephone and written correspondence regarding pharmacy retail and mail order prescriptions.

The position requires a HS diploma or equivalent and experience in an automated customer service environment. Knowledge of 340B, PBM processes and healthcare IT systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and experience in an automated customer service environment.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or related certification preferred.
• Knowledge of the 340B program and experience with specialty medications is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with benefits investigation and pharmacy PBM processes is preferred.
• Proficiency in using healthcare information systems and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
• General knowledge of company pharmacy services, products, insurance benefits, contracts and claims preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with functions within the company to ensure requests are handled and resolved promptly.
• Interacts with internal and external customers to provide claims, customer service, and membership support.
• Completes necessary research to provide proactive, thorough solutions and ensures high quality resolution.
• Guides customers with their options and helps them use available technology and resources.
