Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Certification in the state of practice.

• Minimal experience typically gained through 0-2 years relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, review and interpret prescriptions and input into the computer for verification by the pharmacist.
• Prepare, dispense, and compound appropriate amount of medication under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Deliver medications accurately to the patient.
• Answer phones, accept prescriptions, and communicate with patients in waiting area.
• Assist with inventory, maintain a clean work environment, and assist with other administrative duties as assigned.
