Job summary

BD is seeking a dedicated Systems Solutions Consultant to manage end-to-end solutions for pharmacy automation and ambulatory pharmacy services, from pre-sales to post-implementation. You will advise customers on optimally implementing and enhancing retail, outpatient, and long-term care pharmacy automation solutions.

The role requires deep knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy operations, travel up to 75%, and the ability to work with diverse teams across BD's sales, implementation, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Industrial Engineering or a related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare or pharmacy related operations required (in-patient or out-patient).
• Advanced degree or certifications in pharmacy automation are a plus.
• Must be based in one of the following states: CO, NM, AZ, CA, NV, OR, WA, MN, ID, WY, or UT.
• Lean six sigma certification preferred.
• Up to 75% travel required, including nights and some weekends.
• Lives within 1 hour to a major airport.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued license driver’s license with 3 years of consecutive driving history and meet BD’s auto safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provides sales consultation and workflow analysis of existing processes within the medication management and supply chain systems, specifically in outpatient and long-term care pharmacy services.
• Identifies current areas of inefficiencies, patient/provider safety concerns, revenue augmentation, cost reduction, regulatory non-compliance, and drug diversion opportunities.
• Performs workflow redesign with practice change recommendations and accompanying BD solutions to facilitate achievement of industry standard processes and customer strategic goals.
• Provides clinical consulting support primarily for sales to develop customer specific strategic BD solution roadmaps.
