Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Pharmacy Automation Engineer Lead Analyst to maintain and advance highly automated pharmacy production equipment. You will lead troubleshooting, drive continuous improvement, and mentor others across PLC, electrical, and mechanical domains.

Shift is Monday-Friday, with on-call rotation and potential after-hours support. CMMS/Maximo experience is essential, and you will collaborate with vendors to implement upgrades and ensure reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years maintaining automated industrial equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and I/O systems.
• Knowledge of electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience performing preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
• Experience using Maximo CMMS to document and manage maintenance activities.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues in a high-volume production environment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work outside normal shift hours and participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Maximize performance, reliability, and uptime of automated pharmacy equipment through preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
• Lead troubleshooting for PLC, electrical, pneumatic, and computer-controlled systems to minimize disruption.
• Identify root causes of recurring failures and implement sustainable improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance MTBF and production capabilities.
• Support installation, validation, expansion, and upgrades of automation equipment.
• Execute engineering changes to improve safety, quality, reliability, and productivity.
• Monitor systems with diagnostics and reporting to address risks.
• Document work and track history using CMMS/Maximo for data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to optimize processes.
• Train and mentor team members and participate in on-call support.
