Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a high-impact professional to lead Pharmacy Applications delivery within its Commercial Technologies Software Engineering group. You will own end-to-end outcomes, drive architecture decisions, and partner across Engineering, Integration, QA, PM, and vendors to ensure stable, compliant, and scalable pharmacy platforms.

The role emphasizes strategic roadmapping, regulatory awareness, and measurable improvements in deployment, run stability, and patient-related workflows.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience, preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional delivery teams (Engineering, Integration, QA, PM).
• Strong understanding of enterprise systems, middleware, APIs, SQL-based data access, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Demonstrated capability in estimation, planning, SDLC governance, and operational delivery execution.
• Experience in regulated or operationally critical environments.
• Experience owning application roadmaps and vendor delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end outcomes for pharmacy applications across intake, build/configuration, integration, transition to run, and ongoing support.
• Serve as the single accountable owner for pharmacy system delivery, stability, and outcomes.
• Translate pharmacy goals into executable delivery and integration plans with clear scope and risk awareness.
• Ensure predictable delivery through disciplined planning and execution in an integration-heavy environment.
• Define solution-level decision rights for Pharmacy Apps to reduce day-to-day escalations.
• Act as technology owner for assigned pharmacy applications, setting platform strategy and roadmap.
• Own intake evaluation, prioritization, and sequencing of improvements, debt remediation, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain architecture decisions within pharmacy platforms including integration patterns and scalability.
• Understand business impact of platform performance on patient onboarding, therapy fulfillment, and operations.
