Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital York is seeking a Pharmacist for per diem weekend work with additional weekday shift opportunities at Select Specialty Hospital York. Compensation is $65.00 per hour, with orientation and potential for advancement depending on performance and needs.

This hospital emphasizes high-quality inpatient post-ICU care and patient education on discharge medications.

Qualifications

• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.
• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or hospital pharmacy residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Have a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Instruct patients on drugs to be used after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
