Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Columbus South, a part of Select Medical, seeks a Pharmacist to support per diem and PRN shifts. Responsibilities include drug distribution, IV admixture, and clinical support in a fast-paced hospital setting. Must maintain stock and educate patients on discharge medications.

Eligible candidates will hold state pharmacist licensure with current licensure and may require BLS per state guidelines. Per diem weekend rotations with occasional weekday coverage offered.

Position: Pharmacist

Location: Select Specialty Hospital Columbus South (South High Street)

Schedule: Per Diem / As Needed / PRN / Weekend Rotations with ability to pick up occassionally on weekdaysCompensation: $62.00 an Hour

Responsibilities

• As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
