Giant Food in Washington, DC is seeking a Pharmacist to join our Retail Pharmacy team. You will ensure safe dispensing, provide patient counseling, and support immunization and health initiatives.

This role collaborates with technicians, store leadership, and healthcare providers to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, uphold quality standards, and deliver exceptional patient care. Candidates should hold PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, be licensed, and have MTM/Immunization

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employment.
• Immunization certification required.
• MTM certification where applicable.
• 2-5+ years of retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations, HIPAA, and controlled substance laws.
• Familiarity with third-party insurance processing and reimbursement practices.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and verifies prescriptions, and provides patient counseling.
• Maintains pharmacy workflow, monitors inventory, and ensures accuracy in dispensing.
• Supports immunization services and MTM programs.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, DEA regulations, and other regulatory standards.
• Collaborates with pharmacy technicians, store leadership, and healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care.
