Job summary

Giant Food in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Pharmacist to ensure safe, accurate dispensing, provide medication counseling, MTM services, and immunizations in a busy retail pharmacy.

You will collaborate with technicians, store leadership, and healthcare partners to maintain regulatory compliance, streamline workflows, and deliver exceptional patient care and service. A PharmD with an active state license, immunization certification, and 2–5+ years retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employment.
• Immunization certification (e.g., APhA or state‑recognized equivalent).
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) certification where applicable.
• 2–5+ years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations, HIPAA, and controlled substance laws.
• Familiarity with third‑party insurance processing and reimbursement practices.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and verify prescriptions, preventing drug interactions.
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and maintain accurate records.
• Resolve insurance issues and support reimbursement processes.
• Engage in patient education, medication therapy management, and support vaccination and clinical service programs.
