Job summary

Giant Food in Washington, DC is seeking a Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team. The Pharmacist will ensure safe, accurate dispensing and deliver patient care with precision, working with technicians and store leadership to maintain compliance. Responsibilities include prescription verification, immunization services, MTM, and educating patients while managing inventory, budgets, and workflow.

A PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy and an active license are required, with 2-5+ years of retail experience.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree (PharmD or BSc in Pharmacy) and active license in the state
• Immunization certification required
• MTM certification preferred where applicable
• 2–5+ years of retail pharmacy experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Interpret and verify prescriptions, ensure safety and accuracy
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and maintain compliance with regulations
• Provide MTM, immunization services, and patient counseling
• Lead and develop pharmacy staff, manage schedules and budgets
• Optimize inventory, reimbursement, and formulary compliance
• Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain records under HIPAA
