Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Department. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support the pharmacy team while contributing to wellness programs and community outreach.

You will administer immunizations as certified, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with other departments to promote wellness and the pharmacy. Prior licensure and MTM exposure are valued.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; must maintain continuing education to keep license active
• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience required
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred
• Ability to administer immunizations required

Responsibilities

• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients per OBRA '90 and state/federal regulations
• Assist with controlled substance inventory on an annual basis or as recommended
• Assist with inventory control including ordering, stocking, and entering invoices
• Assist with reconciliation and balancing of third-party accounts and monthly inventory
• Coach and train pharmacy employees and participate in education and training
• Visit schools, doctor's offices, and senior centers to market pharmacy services
• Build growth and sales through counseling and wellness programs
• Follow security and regulatory procedures including Quality Assurance Programs
• Administer immunizations as certified
• Maintain confidentiality of customers' private medical information and prescription drug pricing per HIPAA
