Job summary

Hy-Vee in Minnesota is seeking a licensed Registered Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support the pharmacy team while promoting wellness programs within the community.

You will administer immunizations as certified and strive to provide exceptional service daily, maintaining HIPAA compliance and adherence to state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; must maintain continuing education to keep license active
• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience required
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred
• Ability to administer immunizations required

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers and making interactions positive
• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients per OBRA '90 and laws
• Assist with controlled substance inventory and general inventory control
• Assist with ordering, stocking, invoices, and entering inventory information
• Assist with reconciliation and balancing of third-party accounts and monthly inventory
• Assist with merchandising over-the-counter products
• Coach and train pharmacy staff and participate in education and training
• Visit schools, doctors' offices and senior centers to market pharmacy services
• Build growth and sales through counseling and wellness programs
• Follow security and regulatory procedures including Quality Assurance Programs
• Assume responsibility for the department in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager
• Collaborate with other departments to promote wellness and pharmacy services
• Communicate procedural changes to Pharmacy Manager
• Administer immunizations as certified
• Maintain confidentiality of patient data and pricing per HIPAA
• Adhere to Hy-Vee policies and regulations
