Job summary

Hy-Vee Inc. is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team in a fast-paced retail setting. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support the pharmacy team while helping grow wellness programs and community outreach.

The role requires a Pharmacy degree and licensure, with immunization authority and MTM familiarity preferred. You will maintain HIPAA confidentiality and adhere to regulatory guidelines daily.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; must maintain continuing education to keep license active.
• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience required.
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred.
• Ability to administer immunizations required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and making every interaction positive.
• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients in accordance with OBRA '90 and all regulations.
• Assist with controlled substance inventory and annual basis reviews.
• Manage inventory: ordering, stocking, invoices, and data entry.
• Support wellness programs and community outreach to grow services.
• Coach and train pharmacy staff and participate in continued education.
• Visit schools, doctors' offices, and senior centers to market pharmacy services.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA.
