Job summary

OhioHealth in Ohio is seeking a Pharmacist to perform dispensing, compounding, patient counseling, and drug utilization review. The role requires careful interpretation of prescriptions and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective therapy.

The pharmacist will work across acute care, ambulatory, and retail settings, leading medication safety initiatives, mentoring students and residents, and guiding technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Ohio Pharmacists License issued by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy is required.
• Pharmacy Practice residency or hospital experience is desirable and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Reviews prescriptions, dispenses and compounds medications, and ensures proper labeling and safe administration.
• Manages patient drug therapy, provides drug information to providers and patients, and supports guideline/policy development.
• Precepts pharmacy students and residents and provides education for pharmacy, nursing, and medical staff.
• Directs and guides pharmacy technicians and support personnel across settings.
• Leads safety, stewardship, and utilization initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
