Job summary

Lumicera Health Services is seeking a Pharmacist Operations Manager (PIC) to lead the day-to-day management of our specialty mail-order pharmacy operations in Madison, WI. This role ensures dispensing workflows, RPh verification, shipping, cold-chain handling, and regulatory compliance to deliver timely, safe patient care.

The position requires a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy and an active pharmacist license, with 5+ years in pharmacy leadership and specialty pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required.
• Current, unrestricted licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of residence, or the ability to gain reciprocity within 4 months.
• 5+ years as a licensed Pharmacist required.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with Specialty Pharmacy drugs including REMS and Limited Distribution Products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily specialty mail pharmacy fulfillment operations including dispensing, RPh verification, shipping, cold-chain handling, and delivery issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state pharmacy laws, accreditation standards, HIPAA, and SOPs.
• Manage staff scheduling, training, coaching, engagement and performance for pharmacists, technicians, and support staff.
• Drive quality and safety programs: medication error prevention, incident reporting, CAPA, and continuous process improvement.
• Monitor procurement and inventory for specialty drugs, remaining within REMS and limited distribution product requirements.
