Job summary

Ascension seeks a licensed pharmacist for the Dell Seton Medical Center Inpatient Pharmacy in Austin, TX. The role requires reviewing orders, compounding, dispensing, and educating staff and patients on therapies.

You will collaborate with physicians and clinicians to ensure comprehensive patient care and lead technical staff to uphold high operational standards.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist credential required prior to hire date.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy; Master's or Doctorate of Pharmacy preferred.
• IV Certification, Hospital Experience, PGY1 Preferred (not required).

• Ensure patient safety by reviewing medication orders and resolving potential drug-related issues to support optimal health outcomes.
• Compound and dispense medications with precision to ensure accurate and timely treatment delivery for our patients.
• Educate patients and clinical staff on drug therapies, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and clinicians, to streamline and facilitate comprehensive patient care.
• Lead technical pharmacy staff in the preparation and maintenance of supplies to maintain high operational standards and support pharmacy workflow.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• Pharmacist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required. Master's degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy preferred.
