Job summary

Lumicera Health Services seeks a Pharmacist in Charge for our Madison facility, leading a fast-paced specialty mail pharmacy operation. This role emphasizes daily clinical decision-making, dispensing workflows, and regulatory compliance in a state-of-the-art distribution center.

The PIC will oversee cross-functional teams, ensure cold-chain integrity, and drive audits, KPIs, and continuous improvement while partnering with clinicians, reimbursements, logistics, and vendors.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required.
• Current, unrestricted licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of residence, or ability to gain reciprocity within 4 months.
• 5+ years as a licensed Pharmacist.
• 3+ years in a leadership role with direct reports.
• 1+ year of experience as a Specialty Pharmacist preferred.
• Knowledge of REMS and Limited Distribution Products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily specialty mail pharmacy fulfillment operations, including dispensing and RPh verification.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state pharmacy laws and accreditation standards.
• Manage staff scheduling, training, coaching, and performance.
• Drive quality and safety programs including CAPA and process improvements.
• Oversee inventory, cold-chain handling, and vendor relationships.
• Prepare for and lead audits/inspections and regulatory communications.
• Support implementation of pharmacy systems and reporting.
